GABA Spirits are designed to increase the effectiveness of the calming effects GABA provides. GABA Spirits do not raise your GABA levels, nor do they contain GABA itself as an active ingredient. We do not use GABA as an active ingredient because ingested GABA cannot pass from your bloodstream through what is known as the blood brain barrier (BBB), and then on into your brain. Really enjoyed them. Red is good with a coke, Gold is good with some tonic, black is pretty similar to Jagermeister in taste. I found the effect to be slightly uplifting and gives you a "light" feel - Nothing like alcohol. Almost would say I felt light-hearted and clear-headed. something like that?

Uplifting and inspiring

Having trialled all three flavours, I can attest to the quality and individually inspiring qualities of all of them.
The Gold tastes refreshing and light, although careful mixing with a tonic or soda is required so as not to taste too much like a popular orange-based fizzy drink, which would negate its notable botanical qualities. Mixed right, preferably with a slice of fruit or berries added, it can be a very pleasant and sociable experience.

My all-round favourite was the Red; this was easy to drink and mellow in taste. Very versatile and popular with friends. I would need several bottles of these going forward!

However, there is something very special about the Black. Soothing and relaxing and a gentle taste akin to a liquorice cola or dandelion and burdock; both of which I don’t usually like, but this blend is elevated beyond those and is very sippable - and moreish! The anise and botanicals are great digestifs after a hectic day and create a blissful moment.

I would have to wait until a deal for more of these, as these are a little pricey, but looking at the amount of quality ingredients in each bottle, it’s easy to see why. This also explains why they have a relatively short life span and must be refrigerated once opened, as per any ‘good’ real food stuff! No preservative or chemicals found here.

We are sorry to hear that our GABA drinks did not meet your expectations. SENTIA is an acquired taste and not for everyone, however we have many regular repeat customers who absolutely love the taste of SENTIA.

As for lack of effect, there could be a number of reasons for this:
Individual variances: Your GABA system is very much your own, and individual chemistry varies from person to person, so the experience of SENTIA will vary too.
Alcohol in system: Regular alcohol drinkers may have a high tolerance to GABA release, which will moderate the SENTIA experience. Studies suggest that you can reset your tolerance to GABA release by refraining from drinking for 2 to 3 weeks.
SSRI’s: (Selective Serotonin Inhibitors) anti-psychotics, tranquillisers and some epileptic medications may inhibit the effects of SENTIA.
Expectations: SENTIA is not designed to get you “drunk”, but offer a more refined experience. All feelings are of course very subjective, and will vary from person to person.
Context: There is a great deal of scientific evidence indicating that drinking (or talking any mind altering substance) alone creates a very different effect from doing so socially. The science suggests the same will be true with SENTIA.
