GABA (or gamma-aminobutyric acid) is a compound found in nearly all life on earth. Whilst GABA has many roles in the human body, in the brain it functions as a neurotransmitter. GABA modulates brain and central nervous system activity, causing feelings of relaxation and calmness, opening the door to a sense of ease in social situations and all the positive benefits these moments can bring.

GABA Spirits are designed to increase the effectiveness of the calming effects GABA provides. GABA Spirits do not raise your GABA levels, nor do they contain GABA itself as an active ingredient. We do not use GABA as an active ingredient because ingested GABA cannot pass from your bloodstream through what is known as the blood brain barrier (BBB), and then on into your brain. Instead, GABA Spirits contain active ingredients that can pass the BBB and modulate the effectiveness of the GABA naturally produced by your brain.

SENTIA Spirits contain an all-natural “GABA blend” that has two major components. “GABA enhancers,” which increase the effectiveness of your brain’s natural GABA and “bio-enhancers,” which help absorption of GABA enhancers from your gut, into your bloodstream, and then across the blood brain barrier.

Never thought I'd get that feeling again since getting sober

Many years sober, so was wary but most of the ingredients are things I'd take as a supplement so took the leap. Gold and Red are both sublime, the shift is subtle but I feel more relaxed, more connected to who I'm with and further away from my working day. Black I probably need to use before a task...it feels more for focus and so I've not reached for it when wanting to unwind. They don't feel altering or intoxicating, although I had to try a few times to relax about that as I wasn't used to the sensation. Not sure a drinker would notice as much but I could be wrong.

Gold tastes like some kind of exotic orange liqueur, great with cranberry, Red tastes more medicinal but great with ginger or sour cherry. Same for Black ..more pronounced liquorice taste made me reach for sour cherry as a mixer.

I can't believe a drugs tsar fired by the Tories for saying alcohol was more harmful than certain illegal substances went and used his research to formulate these incredible spirits. Super grateful for this, and hope Sentia goes from strength to strength. Will buy again and look forward to learning some new recipes.

Spicy and relaxing

We initially aquired the smaller bottle of the black and red to try it out. We tried the mixer suggestions which balanced the spicy, peppery after taste of the black and really enjoyed it.

Noticapal feeling of relaxation but none of the fallout that comes with alchohol.

Very enjoyable drink and would recommend it for anyone looking for a non alcoholic drink that you can actually enjoy drinking.

Since the test of the small bottles we have bought the larger offering of all the Sentia range.

It’s wonderfully different

Tried it neat and with ginger beer. Neat was not for me, too savoury and spicy, ginger beer added, a game changer.
Felt sociable and relaxed.
Will most definitely be trying out the red and gold.
My days on the lash are over. The feeling of being bright as a daisy the next morning is bliss.
